Dark Matter

My classmate, an M-Phil in Astrophysics specializes in ‘dark matter’, a misnomer some might say. Unfortunately, try as he did, he simply could not succeed in removing us from the ‘darkness’ regarding the subject matter. Add to this that every time we ask him about museology (what we are into now), he just shrugs his shoulders and refuses to participate in anything reasoning that well, he had left (rather forgotten) all that and now knows only about ‘dark matter’.

Nevertheless, thanks to the newsletter from BBC, I got this link.

It deals with neutrinos (the smallest particle ever known and detected by the Super-Kamiokande project in Japan), WIMPs (Weakly Interacting massive Particle), MACHOs (Massive Astronomical compact Halo Objects). Fascinating stuff.
