EPIPHANY
Imagine being an extremely goal-oriented person all your life. Then imagine deciding upon one particular albeit tough target and investing all your energy and time into it for nearly half a decade. Now imagine that you see that very goal (dream) evaporating (disappearing) before your very eyes.
Imagine acknowledging the fact that your life is perfect (personally and professionally), almost too perfect (read envious) but at the same time feeling the unhappiest you’ve ever been.
What if you realise that nothing matters any more and that you have no idea what will make this feeling go away. All your life’s efforts towards one particular thing never seemed so utterly superficial and useless before.
What then?? What then??
The AGE OF DISILLUSIONMENT dawns with full glory. You now see the world with a different pair of eyes. Everything feels different as well. You continue to survive, somehow, by trying to make sense of the world around you and hoping (against hope) that there is SOMETHING OUT THERE to make you feel ALIVE and HAPPY again.
So, as you near another major life-altering threshold, you continue to hold your ground and remind yourself of the SIGNS received thus far.
“Whoever you are, or whatever it is you do, when you really want something it’s because you were meant to do that. To realise one’s destiny is a real obligation.”
"Once upon a time, you made yourself a promise. You set your heart on something and decided to pour all your energies into the fulfilment of a cherished ambition. But that was long ago and much has changed then. You can hardly remember your old dream any more, far less relate to it. You live in a different world now, in which different things matter and there is no going back…. Or is there? The New Moon suggests something most intriguing is starting to happen, so overcome your cynicism, ignore your doubt and nurture your faith."
"As for love, the very word seems impossible." - D.H Lawrence, The Ladybird.
