Flip Side

It is absolutely amazing to see a flip side of all the people who work for a living (with the writer only just entering the sacred domain). What amazes me the most is the duality of personality involved in being in these two different worlds, but at the same time, appearing as belonging to it ab initio.

We all put on a public face. They say you can't really KNOW a person until you stay under the same roof. Now I'm not in any way suggesting that we start living with everybody we know to really KNOW them! IJs (Intelligent Jokes, courtesy Wk) apart, it simply melts my heart to think about how different we all are in the two spheres.

I embarked upon this line of thought during my cousin's marriage. There we all were: My father (No. 2 in the Station), my bro-in-law (currently dealing with mindboggling finances), me (well, bunking avoidable classes) and the groom himself (who made a trip from the 'New World' for it).

In the same vein, I just have to think of where I was and what I was doing this time yesterday to end up in sheer awe of the beauty of the 'two worlds' that we all belong to. What a heart-warming thought that even a virago can feel and do so much!
