The Journey So Far

A Year On...

This time a year ago, I was in Kolkata flagging off my blog and am now at Faridabad, writing my 100th!! This calls for a celebration, right?

The blog stands as true testimony to the sinusoidal nature of human (read my) life. It has borne witness to all the hills and troughs traversed through this past year.

It began as a cry out into the wild, having been deprived of love from a true friend at the evil hands of death. Right now, so much love is directed at me from someone who just recently appended on to the list. Guess this is what Elton John was singing about in the song, 'Circle of Life'!

I am, for a change, at a loss for words.

From the day we arrive on the planet
and blinking, step into the sun.
There's more to see than can ever be seen,
more to do than can ever be done.
There's far too much to take in here,
more to find than can ever be found,
But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky,
keeps great and small on the endless round.

It's the Circle of Life
and it moves us all,
through despair and hope,
through faith and love,
till we find our place on the path unwinding in the Circle,
The Circle of Life.
