Travelearning

Never knew an innocent visit to a new place could be so eventful that the learning which it entails is equivalent to say, reading a book.

Sitamarhi, a two-hours drive from Allahabad is the place where Sita Maa went into the folds of mother earth. It is the only temple in India where Sita's figure is devoid of her famed husband's by her side. What really hit me was the fact that her eyes are fixated not at the curious spectator's but slightly below, typical of any Indian hostess one would concur. However, the authoress begs to differ. I am of the opinion that it is so because the conviction in her eyes would have pierced even the strongest of armours of one who ever doubted the strength of a woman.

So as I prostrated, what escaped my mouth surprised me. I prayed, for the first time ever, that I incorporate some of her virtues in terms of strength of character, loyalty and humility.
