GREAT EXPECTATIONS!!

I remember sneakily reading this great work of Charles Dickens whenever I got bored sitting alone in class XI. But this post is not about the book nor the movie starring Ethan Hawke. It is about one's (read my) great expectations in day to day life.

While leaving for work in the morning today, it hit me that Gosh! I have so much to be thankful for and yet I choose to focus on what is lacking. 'Expectations are the surest and shorest way to disappointment'. This used to be my pet dialogue during the tumultuous years of teenage. How come I have grown up to forget the same?
